Direct OEM Replacement
The LEVEL Engineering exhaust manifold is designed for the BMW S63 engine family and is installed as a direct replacement for the stock manifold without additional modifications.
When installing the LEVEL exhaust manifold, the factory turbocharger placement is retained, and no modifications to the factory heat shields are required.

Optimized Internal Design
The manifold features a specialized internal surface with small dimples (similar to a golf ball). These dimples create a turbulent layer that separates the primary exhaust gas flow from the walls, significantly reducing gas resistance within the system.

The cross-section varies along its length with an optimized shape designed to minimize pressure drops.
The optimized runners ensure smooth gas flow, with no internal steps or protruding weld seams.

Enhanced Cross-Section for Performance Gains
The cross-sectional area of the runners at the manifold inlet has been increased to allow for cylinder head porting. The cross-sectional area at the turbine inlet has been increased by 26% (to accommodate modified turbines such as Jaeger or TTE), and the runners have been optimized to reduce pressure drops by 74%.

Advanced 3D-Printed Stainless Steel Construction
The exhaust manifold is manufactured using 3D printing from stainless steel AISI 316, combined with solid milled flanges and components that are also 3D printed from stainless steel.
The 3D printing method significantly reduces the manifold’s weight and ensures an optimal, streamlined design.

The weight of the exhaust manifold is 12lbs. / 5.45 kg.
